Gracious God,
You have called out, in the words of the prophet, "Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God." In this season, allow me to prepare your way, O Lord. Help me to give a glimpse of the light and peace that Christ represents to this dark, warring world. Help me to prepare my own heart for the coming of the Lord.
